Military petitions, 1918-1923.

These volumes contain petitions for naturalization from soldiers who were applying for citizenship under the law of May 9, 1918. This law allowed any alien serving in the armed forces during World War I to gain citizenship without a declaration of intention or residency requirement. Some declarations of intention are laid in the fourth volume, which is only partially completed. The earliest forms have physical descriptions of the applicants written in.

4 v. : printed forms filled in ; 47 cm.
